About The School

The Spanish Center of the Dominican Republic encourages students to immerse themselves in the Spanish culture and language, with innovative learning programs proven to be effective with rapid results; you learn how to speak Spanish like a native. These lessons offer a creative alternative to learn and speak Spanish; you are never old to learn.

You will find all levels of study at the school: beginning, intermediate and advanced. The course study is tailored to the students’ goals. Either private lessons or group study is offered.

The Spanish Center is located in the town of Sosúa, on the north coast of the country. It is only 15 minutes from the International Airport located in Puerto Plata and Santiago STI International Airport located  two hours from Sosúa. The school itself is situated at steps from Alicia beach and at 7 minutes walking from Sosúa main  beach.

Sosúa is a very popular and beautiful tourist vacationing areas.

Our informal class is held in an open air, garden setting with small groups; We promote lively conversation at our school, courses start with tea and coffee and are arranged to fit your individual schedule.

We also have very experienced Spanish private tutors online. We teach students from all over the world via internet. In addition to learning a second language, such as Spanish, we want the student to become acquainted with the local culture. As a result, the course study includes the introduction to the local music and dominican cooking. The Merengue, for example, originated in the Dominican Republic.
